Friends of Juvenile Justice Cares About South Carolina's Youth

Working with the Department of Juvenile Justice, FJJ is a group of caring, concerned citizens that wants to help youth thrive in our state.  DJJ is a true success story and has become a national model on how juvenile justice can be done.

Now, under the leadership of Director Margaret Barber, DJJ is ready to help youth around the state at the community level.   Although youth crime is down, gangs, drugs and violence are still destroying too many young lives plaguing too many towns and neighborhoods in South Carolina.  FJJ supports the work of DJJ through its county offices around the state.  We're helping build local, caring community coalitions to improve environments and outcomes for our youth.  Hope is being built through after school programs, job training and mentoring programs.  FJJ casts vision, provides funding and engages the public on behalf of DJJ.

Our work is making a real difference, and you can be a part of it!  Your support of FJJ can help prevent juvenile crime where you live and turn young lives around for good!   FJJ needs volunteers, dollars and donations all working together to create the one thing that will help our kids the most...Hope.  When you give to FJJ, sign up as a volunteer or donate much-needed items like gift cards, clothes or school supplies.  Click here to email us and let us know how you'd like to help!

FJJ has recently begun using facebook as a forum for juvenile justice issues across the United States. Come check it out and give us your opinion- FJJ Facebook Page
